Editor Map (MapServer) – Quantum GIS

Quantum GIS (QGIS) is a user friendly Open Source Geographic Information System (GIS) licensed under the GNU General Public License. QGIS is an official project of the Open Source Geospatial Foundation (OSGeo). It runs on Linux, Unix, Mac OSX, and Windows and supports numerous vector, raster, and database formats and functionalities.

  1. I have 2 questions:
    1. If you have a vector line layer, that you want to highlight only a certain section of, is it possible to do that in qgis? And if so, how would you do that?

    2. If on the vector line layer which you have highlighted you want to have a starting and ending point noted with a red bullet or pin( I’m not sure of the proper term), how is that done?
